Entertainment for the people of Honolulu

There are a lot of opportunities for the people of Hawaii for entertainment. In old town Honolulu and at the eastern part of Chinatown is located the Arts District Honolulu. This whole district is spread over an area of a little more than twelve blocks. The Arts District Honolulu consists of twenty five businesses which are related to art, two venues for performance art, a theatre for alternative movies, two theatres. There are also a number of night clubs located here which are the trendiest ones in the entire census designated place of Honolulu. There are various popular restaurants situated here as well, which are house in the buildings which were built at the end of the nineteenth century.

Another attraction for the people of Honolulu is the Hanauma Bay. This is basically a marine embayment, and has been formed in such a way that a volcanic crater or cone surrounds it. The Hanauma Bay is located due south east of the island of Oahu, and is situated along the coast. This location is also a very attractive destination for tourists, and is very popular. But this has also caused a problem, as this location has been used more than it should. In the 1950s the area was expanded by dynamite so that some area could be made clear for swimming.

The Diamond Head is also a good attraction for the people of Honolulu. This place, which is a volcanic tuff cone, is known as Le Ďahi to the Hawaiians. The volcanic cone has been declared to be a United States State Monument. A certain part of this volcanic cone is used by the government of the United States of America to be used as a platform for antennas. This specific section is not open to the public. The reason why this location is so popular is because of the fact that there are a number of hotels and resorts near by as well. This makes it a popular destination for tourists as well. The rim of the crater can be reached by hiking for around one mile, and the trek is not that difficult.
